Le Lockheed T-33 Shooting Star est un avion d'entraînement américain, monomoteur, entièrement métallique, à ailes basses. Le T-33 était basé sur le F-80, en remodelant les surfaces intérieures et en ajoutant un deuxième siège de pilote. Le premier T-33 effectua son vol en mars 1948 et la production se termina en 1959. Il fut produit 5691 avions de ce type. Le T-33 a également été utilisé comme avion pour remorquer les "cibles" lors des entraînements au tir. Une version RT-33A a été produite comme avion de reconnaissance avec une caméra à la proue de l'avion. Le T-33 a été largement exporté vers 39 pays du monde, entre autres vers l'Allemagne, la France, la Belgique, le Brésil ou le Canada.
