The American Bell OH-13 is one of the most iconic helicopters in aviation history. Developed immediately after the Second World War, it was distributed to the U.S. Army in the late 1940s. The "Sioux" was characterized by its distinctive "soap bubble canopy" which made it unique and easily recognizable along with the tail trellis and its two side tanks. The OH-13 was deployed in large numbers during the Korean War to carry out a wide variety of tasks including observation, advanced reconnaissance, and medical evacuation. The OH-13 had a three-seater cabin configuration and could reach a top speed of170 km / h. It was both robust and exceptionally reliable which contributed to its operational longevity.

L'American Bell OH-13 est l'un des hélicoptères les plus emblématiques de l'histoire de l'aviation. Développé immédiatement après la Seconde Guerre mondiale, il a été distribué à l'armée américaine à la fin des années 1940. Le « Sioux » se caractérisait par sa « verrière à bulles de savon » distinctive qui le rendait unique et facilement reconnaissable avec le treillis de queue et ses deux réservoirs latéraux. L'OH-13 a été déployé en grand nombre pendant la guerre de Corée pour effectuer une grande variété de tâches, notamment l'observation, la reconnaissance avancée et l'évacuation médicale. L'OH-13 avait une configuration cabine à trois places et pouvait atteindre une vitesse de pointe de 170 km/h.
