Le Be-12 "Chayka" (en anglais "Seagull") était un avion amphibie anti-sous-marin, successeur de l'obsolescent Be-6. L'avion à turbopropulseur est entré en service dans la marine soviétique le 29 novembre 1968, équipé du système hydro acoustique "Baku", contenant l'ensemble des 18 bouées et un conteneur de réception. Un total de 150 Be-12 ont été produits jusqu'à la fin de la production en 1973.

The Be-12 "Chayka"( in English “Seagull”) was an anti-submarine amphibious aircraft, successor to the obsolescent Be-6. The turboprop plane entered service in the Soviet Navy on 29th November 1968, equipped with hydro acoustic "Baku" system, containing the set of 18 buoys and a reception container. A total of 150 Be-12 have been produced till production ending in 1973.
